Become a Partner

The success of Bank On Connecticut relies on the collaboration between nonprofits, financial institutions, and government agencies. Teams of partner organizations and banks work together to provide monthly Basic Banking Orientations that prepare clients to open an account at a local partner bank.

Any of Connecticut's banks and credit unions that offer products which are non-predatory are invited to participate in this initiative. We want to engage banks and credit unions with the largest share of the market and those that serve particular populations or neighborhoods with a high concentration of unbanked residents. These efforts often compliment the ongoing Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities of many major financial institutions throughout the state. In addition, Bank On Connecticut offers the opportunity of a large scale collaboration, which can have a more significant impact on Connecticut's communities then a single program can have alone.

For many Connecticut households, financial stability and increasing assets seems out-of-reach. If you are a nonprofit or financial institution, and are interested in becoming a partner, please contact Marci Neufer, Program Coordinator, at CAHS at mneufer@cahs.org.
